I often suggest to anyone wanting to create to start by having no expectation of a specific result... Just see what colors, patterns, styles you gravitate to and enjoy the process.
Although my intention is something more specific with many pieces, Dyed Cosmoscity was one in which I just let it flow. It was late and I had a basic direction...going where my thoughts and mood took me. It's no surprise that with all of the chaos and change surrounding us, I gravitated toward a more ethereal image...a feeling of serenity and calm. Imagine laying on your back as a child, away from the city lights, and staring up at the stars...letting everything else around you go. I love how, like a good book, art can let you retreat to another place and time, yet end up winding back to you finding yourself.
Dyed Cosmosity was created using dyes and gold pigment on reclaimed wood board then coated with resin. It comes in a 1.75-inch black wood frame with hanging hardware pre-installed and ready to go.
